P3dv5 ctd

Hi
The KA has become unusable. P3D works okay for all base aircraft, however as soon as I try to load the KA P3d will become unresponsive and CTD. If on the odd occasion things load up I have no yoke / throttle controls which again are okay in the default aircraft.

I've tried repairing P3D and also KA using install repair.

Running out of ideas, has anyone experience anything simlar?

There's really insufficient info there to help you. Any or all of the following might help a little in shedding some light on your problem 👍

Whats your hardware?
What version number is installed, when did you last update it?
What version of P3D components are installed?
Have you tested without other addons?
Does it only happen when loading another a/c or from the scenario screen, or both?
Is there any available crash info from Windows?

I do empathise as I had probs with DXGI errors and CTD when I first started with the KA, but it's working flawlessly for me now :)

Is this an ORBX purchase or through our website?

How Much GPU VRAM do you have? Less than 8GB on V5 is really not going to be possible.

P3D version downloaded yesterday Prepar3D_v5_Academic_5.1.12.26829
Milviz software version MV_KA350i_v1.2.0_20201109 downloaded from Milviz

I've tied loading default aircraft and airport this loads fine, then changing to KA it crashes, I've tried loading KA from scenario screen and it crashes.

Yesterday I uninstalled KA and reinstalled and it worked took a 1600mile flight as part all okay, tried to load this morning and it crashes again.

I updated video drivers

What version of P3D components are installed? not sure what you mean here.
Have you tested without other addons? I have fsuipc installed, I have no other 3rd party aircraft actually I only got Milviz as added aircraft.
I have orbix scenery loaded, I run AS for p3d v5, Chaseplane and Aiviasoft. I've tested with and without AS and Aiviasoft running.

Errors I find in Event Viewer are a DistributedCom Event ID 10010 The server {FD06603A-2BDF-4BB1-B7DF-5DC68F353601} did not register with DCOM within the required timeout.

I don't known about DCOM but theres plenty on the interweb about potential fixes. However, if you can make a successful flight I'd be tempted to lean towards that not being a critical issue.

What settings do you run at? Have you monitored your VRAM and CPU usage? Do you run HT enabled and if so do you set an AM?

Off topic, but you should consider overcooking your CPU...!

--- Can you try without Chaseplane? That one has created issues in the past. Look in the forums for specific settings that create issues

Hi

Tried uninstalling chaseplane, no success.

Yesterday I ran the repair tool for P3D which did not cure things, I uninstalled and reinstalled KV and it started to work. Simply closed down P3d after a long flight and today back to same problem.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling again no success.

I've downloaded a program to check and repair registry issues, no success.

Kevin this is the Bios settings but it is basically out of the box, I don't like to fiddle with things I don't understand.

Navigate to this folder

C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\SimObjects\Airplanes\MV_King_Air_350i\Panel

Find the file MV_WXM.dll and rename to MV_WXM.bak

Try to load the KA in P3D again

This did not work. It has not tried to replace the file.

okay, could this have helped I ran the XMLToolsInstaller from the Redistributables folder and unfortunately also the AccessDatabaseEngine_X64 and ran a repair of that and hay presto it's loaded.

Several MS updates corrupted the accessdatabase install and/or installing Office 365. Usually reinstalling that redist fixes it.
