Re: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE HAS BEEN REMOVED
I believe (and I may be corrected if wrong) legacy render is using DirectX11 vs DX12 in non legacy. There obviously are other changes(SLI doesn't work in newer versions)but that was the big one.kevin_firth wrote: ↑Thu Dec 17, 2020 7:41 amAs this seemed to have resolved my DXGI issue too, (10850K/2080Ti) I'd be interested to understand what the difference with these files is please?!

Re: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE HAS BEEN REMOVED
I'm going to throw out a guess here that there is something different in 20 and 30 series cards or on a driver level or some weird interaction with our code, as it runs ok on my 1080 GTX.Slayer wrote: ↑Thu Dec 17, 2020 10:32 amI believe (and I may be corrected if wrong) legacy render is using DirectX11 vs DX12 in non legacy. In my experience others with crashes on 10 series cards were cranking up the settings and causing out of Vram that also resulted in Device hung or device removed errors. Either way in V5 you will have a tough time running on anything less than an 8gb card.
It would be nice if the remaining people having this issue would chime in if this corrected it for them. I've informed the developer.

Sorry, just because I don't want to have provided inaccurate information...
As a double check I replaced the panel files with the originals. Guess what? She flew ok, no problems...
I don't think we can say the panel files are the root cause..

Re: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE HAS BEEN REMOVED
Completely solved the problem for me, as long as I am running the sim in legacy atmospherics.
In EA, it improved things in that it took longer for the sim to crash, but it did anyway (took longer with render to transparent setting off), and what is more I got awful texures on the in the shadow parts of the cockpit interior.
So I will run the KA only in legacy for the time. Not a big deal for sure, but as P3D future lies with EA, Ihope you will be able to find a fix.
