v1.1.39 P3Dv5 crashing

When starting engines in the KA350i P3Dv4 my sim keeps crashing - DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG message. Tried many solutions found in the internet, none of them worked. Reinstalled the plane severall times now.
I DO NOT get any error with other addon planes - must be something specific with the KA, at least that's what I hope.

Is that issue known in this forum?

Usually related to a TDR error or out of memory on your GPU. Try something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hf59lnmnVjs&t=28s or a new device driver. I've seen this a few times in V5 but never V4.

If you have a factory overclocked GPU then try downclocking it a bit, that may also help.

That solution also doesn't work...but thank you for your response! Also tried that Tdr thing in the registery which didn't work aswell.

My GTX1080 has 8GB of VRAM and it's not overclocked.

This aircraft will push your GPU memory to the limit. I've seen it go as high as 7GB with addons, you may have to reduce settings. That being said you can press shift z a few times in V5 to show available GPU memory.

If you have not upgraded your Windows10 to build 19041 you will have approximately 1GB less video memory available. Prior to that update my P3D showed 6.1 GB available now it shows 7.1 GB.

I suggest to make a separate graphics profile for the KA with default settings and try that then you can swap back and forth whenever you want to use the KA.

Thank you, I'll try that one. I'd like to try v1.1.38 but the download in the forum does not work. Is there any possibility to still get that version in the forum?

Unfortunately no, once the new betas go out the old ones are removed. It's too hard to support many beta's, subsequent versions should only be bug fixes as no new features are really getting added so please DL the newest beta and if you want to report feedback do so in the appropriate forum section.

Sometimes one thing will break when another is fixed.
