Are the KA350i system requirements of 16 GB RAM and 8 GB video RAM really the minimum or would a lesser machine (8 GB RAM and 3 GB video) be sufficient with reduced settings?

I was excited to get the long-awaited KA350i until I saw the system requirements include 16 GB RAM and 8 GB video RAM. My lowly i5 system with 8 GB RAM and 3 GB video limps along well enough with my MilViz 310R, DHC2 and PC-6 as well numerous other aircraft by A2A, Vertx and others, all while flying over various ORBX regions and airports. I do sometimes have to throttle back the P3D graphics settings to reduce stutters but still manage some great flying.

it will work but, you MIGHT have to lower your settings... Especially if you're using addon scenery/airports.

Thanks for the reply. I had finally resolved to bite the bullet and shell out the $80 rather than hold off for a sale when I ran into this snag.

My vid card is even broken right now, with system only reporting 1 GB. I have a new one to install, but have to do the power supply at the same time. I'll be upgrading to a 1660Ti with 6GB.

I've got the same question. My config is as follows:
- i7 4790k
- GTX970 Gaming 4G
- 16 GB RAM

Do you think it is sufficient for this wonderful addon?
What are your configurations?

I do use some of the individual orbx sceneries yes.

Have anyone tried the KA350 in P3Dv5?

Or is it still not compitable there?

We're waiting till LM releases HF2 and then will assess...
