Speed Brake Issue After Update on F-4E Advanced
I've read the other forum topic on this but using the info provided there I still can't resolve. I have no speed brakes on my F-4E Advanced after the last update. I've disabled all commands in my paid version of fsuipc. I've also cleared out all of my FS commands. Still the only assignment that gets close it the speed brake toggle command. I get a small deployment then they immediately retract again. I read in the other thread that you should only have one set assigned, either the toggle or deploy/retract option. I will try that tonight but if doesn't work what else? Also, is it possible that there is a file in there from the old AMC setup screen that is interfering with the newer AMS settings? Any info would be appreciated.

Not likely. The AMS is in an entirely different location to the old ACM. Just out of curiosity though, what are your hydraulic pressures at the time of speedbrake activation? Also, you are using P3D v4 correct?

I believe I have full pressure on all systems. No warnings at all. Tailhook extends and retracts fine. I am using FSX SPII Acceleration. It's just odd because I had them working before the update.

FSX SP2 might be the problem. This aircraft, (especially the ADV update) requires acceleration. You sure your sim is Acceleration and not just SP2? ie does it include the default F-18?

Definitely Acceleration. I have the original box the upgrade came in. Just odd that it responds to the toggle function in the AMS but immediately slams closed. I haven't tried clearing out the Deploy/Retract commands of the AMS so maybe I'll give that a try tonight. I had this aircraft installed with the Advanced module before and somehow got it working. The update must have reset the configuration I had before. I'm sure at some point I'll figure it out again. I also have the J/S models but not the Advanced module for these. On my J & S's the speed brakes work just fine. That's why I can't understand it's only the E that's doing this.

Deleting the Deploy/Retract joystick commands worked. I now have speed brakes with the toggle button.
