Hi,
When the folder destination dialogue box appears the letter 'F' is loaded as the target but the install button is greyed out and inop.F is the SSD dedicated to P3Dv4.I put in target paths that I think would do the job such as 'simobjects-airplanes'.The installer puts the the files as per my instructions, says all is complete and they are there but not in the P3Dv4 sim. What is the correct destination route?Yesterday evening,I installed in FSX and all seems fine in that sim.

Re: P3Dv4 installation not happening.
Are you trying to install them separate from the sim's install location?

Re: P3Dv4 installation not happening.
Hi,
I have a dedicated F drive for P3D and as such there is no P3D folder(apart from .exe) inside the F drive. There are all the separate P3D folders eg 'Add-on scenery'.
The install dialogue shows only 'F' and the install button is greyed-out.Adding 'Sim objects' for example will make the install operative but as you can see from the attachments, the installer creates a pathway of Sim objects-Airplanes-Airplanes-Sim Objects-Phantom j and s.
I have tried other combinations to try to get it to load into the sim.
regards,
Anthony.
I hope that the 2 attachments help.I have a dedicated F drive for P3D and as such there is no P3D folder(apart from .exe) inside the F drive. There are all the separate P3D folders eg 'Add-on scenery'.

Re: P3Dv4 installation not happening.
You have an Airplanes\SimObjects\Airplanes folder in your main SimObjects\Airplanes location. By adding the SimObjects\Airplanes path to the installer target things got rather confused. Better to install to a temporary folder and then move those files out matching the folder structure to the sim folder structure.

Re: P3Dv4 installation not happening.
I have done as you suggested. All the files have been installed into a Temp folder and then copy/paste into Sim objects-airplanes,as you can see.
The Phantoms are mow showing up in the sim and look,at first glance to be ok,except that shift+1 brings up a brown rectangle and not the load-out manager.
Also, installed is now the basic package but how do I add the add-on package?.I don't know that copy/paste from a temp folder is the right way to go.

Re: P3Dv4 installation not happening.
I didn't say copy into SimObjects\Airplanes. I said copy into the main sim directory which contains SimObjects\Airplanes. The gauges folder should have been merged with the sim's gauges folder, Effects with the sim's effects folder, Sound with the sim's Sound folder, and the dsd_sound_library.dll should have gone into your main sim folder.

Re: P3Dv4 installation not happening.
Great. A little hint next time, please send me a screenshot of the installer before you proceed so I can come up with a solution that will allow for trouble free installs
.
