I've searched the the left hand side wall for ages and can find no sign of the Ram Air Turbine control handle.

Unfortunately that got missed in the early stages of development and by the time we noticed it, it was far too late to correct without breaking a lot of things. We have done a bit of a workaround in the S/J ADV by making the RAT deploy automatically under the conditions that would get it deployed.

In the ADV the RAT is deployed with the GPU P3D/FSX standard command.

Please guys, check the ADV manual and FAQs...!!!

I thought I was going blind when I couldn't see this handle, now I think I'm just going mad because I can now find no reference to this in the ADV manual or FAQs. I knew it didn't happen automatically as in a spin with both engines flamed out I then lost all power and control. Not sure which switch you mean, I'd like to know before my next spin trials.

Which ADV manual version are you using?. The latest version is v171111

I'm actually using v171103 direct from the MIlviz website, do you have access to a more up to date version than the one generally available?

Ah, found it now in the documentation section, plus the reference to the RAT, thank you. The website needs updating
