P3D v4 F4E CTD on start up

Post by rodtod11 » Wed Sep 20, 2017 3:09 pm

I just installed the latest F4 update that allows the plane to be used in v4. It crashes P3D v4 to desktop when loading the plane. No other plane I have does that. I have never been able to use the F4.

You opened the MVAMS and ran the updater there as well?

If you open the AMS again does it ask you to update again?

Ok, did that , placed it in the panel folder and overwrote the existing file. It still crashes, and is unable. I had the same problem with this plane in P3D v3. This download I am using says it is for P3D v4 and it crashes in v4. I have several Milviz products and only this one plane has consistently given me trouble and have never in the year I have had been able to use it.

Start menu search/Event Viewer/Windows logs/Application. Look for errors involving MV dlls and P3D.

Unfortunately those events are not related. If you get a CTD, go straight to the event viewer immediately and the error should be right at the top. It will also show Prepar3D.exe as the faulting process.
