f4j/s p3dv4 vc night light inop

reinstalled w/ av disabled but still no vc lights (both gauge and floods). in ext view, flood ligths show but inside vc, totally dark.

ext lights work.

You made sure to set v4 to run as admin? As in right click, properties->Compatibility->Run this program as admin?

yes, p3dv4 is configured to run as admin.

Is there a MV_F4_NL.exe in the task manager processes list?

i did find 2 night light .exe in the texture folder, mv_f4_nl.exe is a 32b appln, the other one mv_f4j_nl.exe which is a 64b appln:

same in the f4s texture folder as well.

as expected, renaming mv_f4_nl.exe to xmv_f4_nl.exe to disable it, and renaming mv_f4j_nl.exe to mv_f4_nl.exe fixed the night light issue.

looks like the model should be calling the mv_f4j/s_nl.exe.

I just got my update from the store where I purchased and it too has no interior or exterior lighting. Also I think the mirrors are supposed to retract like the E model? It also appears that some switches are not functional. Will an another update be going out to the online partners?

The small updates required to fix problems like this are going to go out through the MVAMS so you won't have to get it through the store.

Ok...I have never used the MVAMS but I Iocated the updater and tried to run it but it gives me a message that indicates there is nothing to update. I'm not at my computer so I forget exactly what the message says? Should it just automatically update any MV aircraft I have when I open it?

You don't run the updater. You open the AMS itself and select the aircraft you want to update. Only after you do so will it know what aircraft you wish to update. That said, while the last update fixed the F-4J sound error crash, I have not put out the update for the night lighting yet.

P.S. You are missing out on a lot in the F-4 by not using the updater.

I just ran the updater for the first time on the J/S and now it crashes immediately when I click ok to load the flight. I uninstalled, reinstalled and updated again with same result. Maybe I need to wait until you push the next update? The E model is working fine until then.

Correction... I meant to say I ran the AMS to update the J/S for the first time

Please run the AMS again and check if there is another update. That way I can verify if you have the update I released just last night.

Just checked again and no new update popped up. If I select the S model it shows a module error message having to do with the radios. I deleted the radio files from the MVAMS configuration folder for the J and S, but didn't get any results. Tried to load a flight again and the same thing happened as last night...aircraft doesn't load at all, black screen, but it has sound and then crashes in about 10 seconds.
