F-4E Crashes P3D v2.5 and v3.4

When I load up my F-4E or my F-4E with gauges version update or either of these with the advanced F-4E upgrade my P3d (both) v2 and v3 crash. I downloaded and installed with AV off and have run as admin set, and no milviz plane are set as default aircraft. My F-4J/S works fine in both versions. I don't mind what version I get my E to work on...

This happens right when the cockpit textures are loading up. I was able to fly my E for a few times but the crashing started to happen shortly after flying the E a few times. I am using thrustmaster wharthog stick/throttle. No migration tool is being used. UAC is disabled and compatibility mode for windows 7 does not fix the issue and I ran the msi.

What installer version do you have?

MilViz F-4E Phantom II vA1.170424_E

Thanks for your help!

You ran that installer only and then let it update through the AMS? You didn't run any other update installers?

Yes, I also installed MilViz F-4SJ Phantom II vA1.170426_JS

Totally separate aircraft/installer. You are trying to fly the E though right? It is the only one crashing or have you tried the S/J yet?

Yes it is only the E that is crashing P3D, I am flying the J/S with no problem. It crashes P3D about a half second after the cockpit view appears after loading the aircraft from the menu button and selecting an E from the list. I can hear about a half second worth of engine noise and see a blacked out version of the cockpit, but then it goes silent and crashes.

Run the E installer again but this time select Uninstall. Then Re install the E. Run the AMS and let it update. Then try again.

I disabled AV, uninstalled E, reinstalled E, updated the E through the AMS and it crashed just like before.

Is there any progress on this? Thanks.

Apologies. Lost track of this one.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/xevkie7mqpzuo ... s.zip?dl=0

This contains 2 dlls, one for P3D v3.4 and one for P3D v2.5. Unzip the dlls into their respective sim directory\gauges folder and see if that solves the problem.

JB it started working a couple of days ago randomly; I didn't do anything to make it work so for now we could close the ticket. I installed your new dll anyway. Thanks for your help!

The F-4E is my favorite plane in P3D, it obviously has issues but it is worth the money. If I had my way I would have a new F-4E that has ALL functionally like the Majestic Dash 8, down to the circuit breakers affecting the systems. I would be willing to pay $150 dollars for that, like a PMDG plane.

One possibility may be to create all the systems and provide an API (Python) that power users or third parties could then hash out all of the functionality present in the plane via the API after a Milviz release with functionality at the current level but room for further development via the API. This would change the industry and immersion level. Hmmmm.... I would love to hear what you think of this.

For example. There are several iterations of landing gear failures that could occur. Nose gear failure, right or left main failure, all three failing, nose and one of the main failing. The emergency procedures for each failure scenario are all different. Return on investment and time are obvious constraints on producing a successful product, but if the functionality were programed in and an API provided, post release development could occur, and different failures could be selected and all of these great details could make the plane really bloom, after a Milviz release.

Thanks!

The F-4E ADV has about what you are looking for (completely external flight model just like MJC Q400. As in, 6DOF velocities being controlled directly by a physics engine on a par with DCS). The only thing like is the API for 3rd parties to add extras. Such things aren't all that easy to develop.
