Failed to create GS10 from memory error

Post by Wietz » Thu May 18, 2017 1:55 pm

I recently installed the Milviz F4 Phantom II. Everyting seems to work fine but whenever I load the Phantom II in FSX a dialog box with the message "Failed to load GS10 from memory" is displayed. I click OK and carry on flying the F4 without any issues (that I know of).

Any one have an idea what this might mean?

Chances are something in your radar, RWR, or the loadout manager is not going to work. What sort of video card are you using?

My Graphics adapter is a NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250.
I'm running FSX on Windows 7 32bit

The Radar and loadout manager is working fine. I don't know what the RWR is.

I also have no cockpit lights working. I scanned this forum and did almost everything everybody did to fix he issue
1. My anti virus software excludes FSX folder.
2. FSX runs with Administrator privileges.
3. The MV_F$E_NL.exe runs with Administrator privileges.
3. The Milviz F-4E Lighting Service loads with the F4 in FSX (I checked in Task Manager)
4. I forced the MV_F$E_NL.exe to use the graphics adapter (although it already did).
5. I loaded the default Cessna and made sure all avionics settings are on and then loaded F-4E.

Could this be related to the "Failed to create GS10 from Memory" error I'm getting every time I load the F-4E?

Your video card is a bit old to use the DX10.1/11 tech used for the loadout manager and the cockpit lighting. You may want to consider upgrading. You can get pretty good DX11 capable video cards for quite a low price these days.
