Lost my brakes only F-4E , F-4 J/S is OK

Post by Hamilton » Wed May 03, 2017 8:57 pm

Hi,

About two days ago I lost my wheel brakes in F-4 E, it´s odd because if I load F-4E and add some power and hit the brakes nothing... But, if I immediately change to F-4 S or J (same situation) brakes operate normally. I observe that ocurred when I start to map the sws, axis, etc using MVAMS ,because I´ve never had this problem before.

Thanks for any input.

What control do your brakes use and what were you using in the AMS? If you assigned the same controls in the J/S that you did in the E do you get problems in the J/S as well?

Disregard Jonathan, I reinstalled whole F-4E (Base,TP,ADV), mapped everything again and (don´t ask me how :) ) ,and it´s working fine again. Thanks!

I have a similar issue, the left brake did not work, I un-installed and re-installed The F-4E, TacPack, and Advanced F-4E. It worked again, today the right brake will not work. Everything has been downloaded and installed with the anti-virus off. I would like to fly, not un-install and re-install everyday. My system specs are in the signature.

If you go to the windows game controller settings and test your pedals there do they move properly as they should? Do the pedals work with other aircraft? Are you running P3D or FSX? If P3D, make sure your control setup within P3D is set to use DirectInput not Raw Input.

Yes I use P3D, I enabled direct input and that seemed to solve the issue. Why is RAW the default setting in P3D?

LM decided to move to it for various reasons. Possibly some commercial cockpit situations. But it wreaks havoc with 3rd party devs who have to support FSX as well which uses DirectInput not Raw.
