Unable to get radar cursors to work

Running MVAMS as admin, assigned joystick buttons and cursors will not move, assigned keystrokes and cursors will not move, also elevation will not move with either joystick or keystrokes. Tried axis's and no movement. Following A/G setup shown in Youtube Tutorial, all cockpit switches as shown and then some. Uninstalled and reinstalled Phantom and TP add-on and have downloaded online install files twice. Joystick and keystrokes for weapon selection, radar lock, autopilot and alt hold, chute, etc, etc work . . .

I suspect your DISPLAY knob was not on B NAR or B WIDE mode when it wasn't working.

OK, Thanks, but I tried all combinations and then some (?). Any ideas on why the cursor will not go left/right (not really expecting the up and down to work the next time I fire it up) ? ? ? Thank you for your patience

Will check for upcoming update. Might be isolated to A-G mode....only Map/Beacon/A-A modes.

The only reason I can find is your control setup. Post a screenshot of your radar cursor azimuth settings in the AMS please.

odd...I will have a HOTAS soon with which I can test things myself further.

Now up and down are down and up, without knowingly changing anything, could it be FSUIPC ? ? ? I do have the different aircraft models on different templates . . .

It seems the config files are getting corrupted easily. Right click on your AMS and select Open File location. Go to Configurations\F4E, and delete any mlvz files that have long hexadecimal number names. Then redo your controls. I will test further on this side once I have my HOTAS.

That worked, but didn't reply back to the Forum until after several flights in Free Flight and Multiplayer ! ! ! BUT now unable to change or even input new control parameters . . . I assume if I delete the hex numbered files again I can reassign, but that is going to be tedious if I have to do that each time I change a control assignment. Everything is checked as Administrator, etc.

Is there a sequence of events that must be followed when assigning buttons (ie open Phantom first, then open MVAMS, or the opposite). Changes not saving . . .

The AMS isn't connected to the simulator. You do your changes and save them before you start the simulator and once they are done they should stick. Make sure you are running your sim as admin.
