Phantom_II_E_vA1.161007 with Phantom_vA1.161120 Tacpack
Hi,
So tonight I bought the Tacpack addon for the Phantom. I downloaded the MilViz_F-4_Phantom_vA1.161120_E_TP_Addon, but I do not have that version of the Phantom, as has been stated before. I have MilViz_F-4_Phantom_II_E_vA1.161007 as this is still the latest version supplied by PC Aviator for whatever reason. As I expected, P3D crashed when I loaded the Phantom. It almost loaded the flight but CTD without any messages or error reports.
Is there any way to make these versions compatible. I am using P3D V3.4.9.
Cheers,

Hi,
I appreciate the reply, but I think what I would actually require in my case is a version of the Tacpack addon that will match the Phantom I use. This would be the MilViz_F-4_Phantom_vA1.161007_E_TP_Addon. Is it possible to download this older version of the tacpack addon anywhere, or can you provide it?
Cheers,

When we release our fix, you will need to update to the latest P3D, as it will not work with v3.4.9.

Thanks Jonathan, I do understand that. My problem is I never have access to the latest version as I bought through a 3rd party who are very slow at updating, in a best case scenario. The last update was for the 3.4.9 version (1.161007). I almost bought the Phantoms again in the sale the other day so I would have access to updates, but couldn't bring myself to do it. Got the Tacpack addon and the 407 instead.
No problem. I will wait and see what happens.

We will see to it that you get the latest update right when we release. We are making a change to our updating system so that it won't matter where you buy from, you will still be able to get updates directly through the configuration software.

Thanks Jonathan, that's great to hear.
I will add at this point, as I have thought about it a bit, that I do appreciate the fact you guys (and gals) have continued to update your products to this point. They are complex by nature, so a lot of hard work must go in to them. Just take any of my constant complaining (
) about updates as a compliment, as if I didn't think so much of Milviz'(s) products I would have just not bothered with it.
Thank you very much too Osh.
