I am unable to totally silence the Tacan Ident sound despite turning the volume control as far as it will go. It is very faint but still there and is a drag to have when navigating to a Tacan.
There is at least one other person at SOH that also notices this.
My hearing is so trashed from real jet noise, it can't be that it is superior to the average person

Speaking for myself if there is no other way to completely silence it or if it is something unique to a few for some reason, I would not mind if there was a way to eliminate it entirely and just be vigilant at watching the HSI.

I have the same issue. I was also a jet mechanic and still an active firefighter with 23 years on the job..... so my hearing isn't the greatest, either. I've adjusted the other sound settings so they are louder then the morse beeps.

Lol not quite yet. Lots happening in the background at the moment.

Do you know if a solution to this has been found yet?
I've tried to disable using the P3D key/buttons menu for NAV1/2, TACAN1/2 and ADF1/2 and nothing cancels the ident.

You have our latest update?

On your right below the generators, click the 2nd button and that will silence the TACAN sound
