Issues with PARKING BRAKE and FLT PLAN

Post by flyblueskies » Sat Jan 12, 2019 1:17 pm

I have P3D4.4 and the latest ADV and TACPACK installs in the F4E.

I used the SHIFT 1 to set CHOCKS and the parking brake is ON. I start the F4E OK, but when I use SHIFT 1 to uncheck CHOCKS, the parking brakes does not go OFF. It remains on.

Also, I load a flight plan via the P3DV4.4 built in flight planner. I then go to the ADDON menu, choose F4E and load the flight plan from there...P3Dv4.4 crashes on me...

Not sure if I am doing something wrong or have identified some issues...

I suspect the latest base package isn’t installed. As for chocks, try pressing the . key when that happens.

Thank you Jonathon,

You are correct. I redownloaded the base package from my account and reinstalled (in the correct method). It did solve my flight plan issue. I'm not sure why MVAMS did not pick up that I did not have the latest version installed as I kept running it to be sure.

Maybe I do not understand this method of update correctly (using MVAMS).

Also, for what ever reason, my account shows the previous version in the description, but when I download it did download the latest version. So, that also was a bit confusing.

All of this led me to believe I did have the latest installed, when in fact, I did not.

Thank you for the release brake information. I kept trying CONTROL + . and also unchecking CHOCKS from the SHIFT+1 menu. I'll try pressing just the . next time.

Thank you for your help.
