Question...
How does the flight plan for Targ2 get loaded on the Phantom?
Is it a disk, a tape...?
Is it loaded from the cockpit, or externaly by the ground crew?
And most importand, isnt there a switch on the INS panel for skiping a waypoint?

Re: Questions about F-4E
In the real world, the WSO would have the list of points and their lat/lon on paper. He would set the point coordinates, and move the knob from TGT2 to reset. That would then store the lat/lon on the counters into memory for TGT2. He would then set the counters for the next point, so that when the aircraft reached the current point he would only have to Reset to give the pilot the new point, and he would set the counters for the next point after that. TGT1 mode would fly the aircraft to whatever was set on the counters.
So in order to make things easier in the sim environment, I made a "virtual" WSO in the form of a steerpoint menu (Addons menu->Milviz F-4 Phantom II->Flightplan menu) where you can select the active steerpoint from a sim loaded flightplan, and also select automatic waypoint sequencing. You could skip a waypoint from the menu by simply changing the active steerpoint.

Fuel System Questions...
Q1... If I fly with 3 external tanks, do I consum the wing tanks first, or the center one?
In other words how do I operate the Fuel Transfer switch.
Q2... How can I tell if any of the three external tanks are empty and ready for drop? I dont get any FUEL TANKS EMPTY note.
Q3... When I have the Fuel Dump ON (hexagonal) do I have restrictions as of speed, turning, g's ?
Does it keep droping fuel until empty or does it automaticallyu stop at a certain number ?
Q4.. (not a fuel question) How can I tell Nose Wheel Stearing is On or Off? Any indication in cockpit?

Did you read the manual? Watch the videos?
Most, if not all, of that, is in the manual...

Re: Questions about F-4E
I read the -1 that is available on the bottom of milviz F-4E page.
This manual has everything but I cannot know if everything is included in your product.
For example it has ILS on the F-4E.
Second, if I dont get an indication it doesnt mean there is no indication.
If you tell me I should get a Fuel Tank Empty indication, When I dont, then I will know it is a bug for my setup.
Third, there are not many training videos around. Some are F-4E others F-4J and we even have to watch the F-4Bs videos for bits and pieces.
I havent found one single video to instruct on entering lat and long for waypoints. Only Initial point for Align purposes. I had to ask.
Fourth, what is the point of this forum if all I get from you is RTFM. This is a gathering point for Phantom users of different time zones and backgrounds to talk.
If you give me this [deleted by moderator] one more time I am out.
If you dont know the answers go fish

Re: Questions about F-4E
Hi Icarus,
One of the privileges of the MV forums is that you are able to talk to the devs directly. Every answer they give you takes valuable time away from their development work. Most times this is perfectly reasonable, however, we will from time to time prompt users to RTM (no swearing please). Please do not be offended by this nor react in an offensive manner.
Cheers - Osh

1: It is at your discretion. Choose which tank you wish to empty first.
2: You will get a green light on the warning panel for the empty external tank. If the switch is in the transfer position and internal fuel is dropping fairly low, then you can know that tank is not transferring fuel and is more than likely empty.
3: I don't recall doing such restrictions. The dumping does stop at a certain point but I can't recall which.
4: No indication. Give a bit of power to start moving and give some rudder input to test.

Re: Questions about F-4E
IcarusGR, your written English seems fine, so I would assume you found the correct vids (milvizinc) and not someone's simple review vid. I found all your questions in the -1 and using the vids for me to fly this complex model in the sim (I'll give you the ILS question). The base knowledge starts with the manual/vids and moves here for pilot technique questions for info outside of the listed resources as MV has real world F-4 drivers on "staff".
