P3Dv4: Really hard to taxi with my F-4

Post by schyma.manfred » Mon Nov 26, 2018 8:07 pm

Hi everybody,

still in heaven with my F-4, but always I left the HAS, the old lady needs a lot of power to start moving. It seems like the brakes are still blocked. Does anybody else noticed this behaviour or did I something wrong?

Did you configure your NWS? (This is done in the MVAMS)

Thank you for quick reply, Sergio. I set my "N" key for enabling the NWS and it works fine. Is there a connection between nose wheel and the power I need? I am not able to handle the Phantom in idle continiously. I need 70 - 80% boost to get her moving, and then she looks like a car with wrong gasoline

Are you removing the chocks using the ACM (Shift-1)? My F-4 starts moving with 10% throttle, then I have to come down to 5% or it just gets going, ... and thats with the plane loaded to 58000#

Yes, no chocks. Nonetheless, I need almost afterburner power to get her going. After 50 metres taxiing, I still need between 30 - 40% power to keep her rolling constantly - that's a little odd because she produces billows of smoke. Or I put my food down, brakes, put my food down and so on.
But maybe I am still the Princess And The Pea

Are you using an add-on airport? Can you try on another airport?
