No Nose Wheel Steering and Brakes will not release

Post by flybird141 » Fri Nov 17, 2017 9:55 pm

I have been operating fine with a button signed to NWS, until today, when no matter if I try to reassign and change I still have no nose wheel steering. P3d V4. 1 Also, about 50% of the time my brakes will not release by keys or assigned button. I have to restart the sim to get them to work.

ON the brakes, Are you releasing the chocks via Shift-1?

OK, I uninstalled and reinstalled. However as usual, your uninstaller does not uninstall everything noty unlike other developers do either. I do go and try to find every left over but after the re installation I still had the assignments in the configuration shift+1. The nose wheel steering worked. The brakes must be toggled and then brakes must be depressed to get them off. Then I go to take off and at 250 knots with full flaps I am just doing a wheelie down the runway. All the flight controls checked out. I restarted my computer went down the runway still would not lift off with half flaps input full flaps it did lift off right before it rolled into the ground. I will uninstall and through into the hanger until all your beta testers get things checked out.

I AM DONE PAYING FOR A PRODUCT AND HAVING TO DEAL WITH CRAP. MY TIME IS VALUABLE! I HAVE SPENT THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS ON SIMMING ADD ONS. I WILL CHECK BACK IN A FEW MONTHS AND SEE IF YOU HAVE THE FULL PAYING BETA TESTERS HAVE WORKED THE KINKS OUT. UNTIL THEN I WILL BE FLYING MY FREE F-18 FORM DINO THAT WORKS FINE. I AM DONE WASTING MY TIME!!!!

One thing at a time. I'm trying to help. We'll get you going...
1. Shift 1 is the plane load manager, where you select the bombs, etc. For the brakes to release, you must make sure the chocks are not installed. Even after this, you will have to cycle the brakes for them to release.
2. The plane lifts off at 150-180 depending on weight. Make sure your elevator trim (left console left of the flap indicator) is one notch down from center. At 150 start pulling back on the stick. You will only need a little pull. When the front wheel detaches, hold that angle. Get ready to re-trim as soon as the plane leaves the ground. It likes to play rocket going straight up.
3. Uninstalling the plane and deleting the settings are a bit of a "one by one" thing. I am sure you would not want to re-do all your joystick controls in MVAMS every time a new version is released. I feel your pain if you have to manually delete your settings, but you shouldn't need to do it.

2: Are you running EzDock? It is known to prevent our external flight model from getting off the ground. Unfortunately we cannot support them. ChasePlane however is a much better option.

3: There is a way to delete your settings if you wish. Right click on your AMS and select open file location. Go to the Configurations folder and delete the F4J and F4S folders.
