Ok. I changed default to a aircraft with engines started. No problem. Only thing I am not able to do at this point is turn on the exterior lights. They will not come on. I am turning switches on, but no results.. Pete

Did you, by any chance, read the manual about how to get the lights on? Generators etc?

I ask because, quite honestly, the external lights are default. There's nothing special there...

That said, if my words do not help, Jon will be around later on. Not sure he can do anything either though....

Well normally we say that under no circumstances should you use the L key to turn on the lights but the latest updates to the F-4S/J introduce a way to do just that. The real aircraft has an external lights master switch on the throttle, just like the F/A-18. So you need to assign the L key to the master lights switch in the AMS and then it will work.

And yes, the default flight needs to be engine running for our ready to fly to take effect.
