Selecting Sparrow AAM

Excuse me if this is a dumb question , but how do I select the Sparrow. I watched a video that refers to the pinky switch.

Use the MVAMs, and you can set the controls to your liking on your control stick.
There should be an option to choose radar guided missiles. Once you map that, you should get the AIM-7 active.
