Try running the XMLTools installer in the Prereq folder for the P180E
thank you, I-ll give it a shot ...

Has anyone seen an explanation from MilViz about why this product was quietly un-released?

no, not a word on it ...

meanwhile I was able to reinstall it, I deleted a couple of specific directories
before I did and now it works ... mostly I would say, I tried a SID departure out of LIML
and despite route was depicted correctly and NAV was engaged plane went on its own way ...

will try at some other places to see if it keeps doing that, if it's an issue with the prematurely
released version I'm confident it will get fixed ...

ciao,
Francesco

Not yet. And after a seven or eight year wait for this airplane, the silence isn't aging particularly well. Guess they are all busy trying to fix it. Hoping it isn't in response to some "cease and desist" crap from the real-world aircraft manufacturer that caused them to take it down.

Had posted a question, but I re-read the above posts. Looks like it was released, some of you were quick enough to get it, and now it's gone back to "coming soon."

I’m unexpectedly home from my business trip for a week, have my new 3090-powered rig up and running with P3D v4.5+, and hoping whatever issue is blocking re-release of the Avanti is resolved SOON. Really looking forward to that airplane and the A-1...

From https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/5948 ... te/page/3/ “Unfortunately the V4.5 option has been deprecated as there are too many problems with V4 that we are not fixing. As it stands the product will only work in V5.1 going forward. Sorry to disappoint you guys.” I’m beyond disappointed. Most of my other MV fleet is stuck at 4.5 and now the Avanti won’t be compatible. I’m not a happy customer.

Well, that's the latest snap kick to the nuts from this corner of the world, isn't it? But, it is what it is. If required, I'll install V5 (as much as I dislike it at this point) for the Avanti, the Lear, and the Moo-2 (if it ever sees the light of day...which doesn't sound likely from Colin and D'Andre's December update). I suspect only airplanes using the PL-21 will suffer from the V4.5 exclusion-- at the moment. Eventually, those of us who stay on the P3D platform will likely eventually be "enticed" to move to V5.1+ after they get the bugs worked out (I own it...not impressed at this point). I suspect I'll be on P3D for some time to come. I own MSFS 2020, and it does look great-- I'm just wish the aircraft were more realistic flight model-wise. But I agree that having a set of past and future releases with mixed P3D compatibility is not going to make most of the customer base happy. As far as I can see, only the "Autopilot Fetishists" (i.e. those fixated on the PL-21 and it's every intricate detail) have reason to be thrilled-- until the release of the A-1 Skyraider, that is.

I understand that developers can’t support products forever but the very popular C310R Redux was released in 2018 and the PC-6 Porter in 2019. The PA-30 Twin Comanchewas 2018 also. Doesn’t seem like much of a shelf life.

Not too surprised I guess. I hope to see the ones listed upgraded to P3D 5. P3d 5.1 HF1 is much better, but there are issues, but I am on that platform now. I like MSFS 2020 but I agree it it is not a working platform at all with any of the aircraft, so I gave up. Not sure when P3D v5.1 HF2 or 5.2 comes out but I hope the aircraft from here continue to work or easy to fix. I plan to remain on P3D a long time. I love the KA350 so looking forward to others

Anyone have any clue on the Avanti release? Haven't heard anything in nearly a month...

That euphoria was short-lived. Bought the P180, installed that unstable, wonky piece of sh*t P3D V5 (MILVIZ decided against the effort required to make the P180 V4.5 compatible), installed the P180, and voila..."The product is either not activated, or the activation is invalid", then a P3D V5 CTD....time after time. Went over to the support forum (thanks Osh for quick access), and nada mention of my problem. I think I found the problem from another post however, that related to a chap who was denied activation of the KA 350: " They found that I had a dynamic IP address and this is responsible for the problem. They changed the setting in my milviz account." So I'll try a note to support.

I re downloaded the new installer but keep getting an error message when I load the aircraft in the sim saying "this product is not activated" then crashes the sim.

During the install I entered my serial code etc. Not sure why this is happening.
