F15 Install [resolved]

Post by Aircanuck » Thu Mar 09, 2017 2:22 am

Rec'd today a link to install the new F15E file. Made sure all anti virus shields are off. When I click on the Milviz install button a window pops up and reads the following ...."SET UP" followed by "erased old files" ( I have said "ok" and X out of this message ), the file then appears to load with no concerns.
I then click and load FSX, It starts normally but when I head over and click on free flight, I scroll down and look for the F15 a/c icon and discover its been replaced by a picture of the aircrafts weapons loadout ... it goes on and shows every munition and description carried by the Eagle.

Yikes !

That's normal for this aircraft. It's how the weapons were done. Our apologies but...

There is no a/c showing up when I want to click on "fly now",the a/c I've chosen is missing. Thought maybe The message I've rec'd at the start of the install "erased old files" might be a concern ? I've now tried several installs with the same results.

You tried leaving it for a few moments for the shaders to build? What sort of PC specs/graphics settings do you have.

Intel i3 - 293 GHZ
3.87 GB usable memory - 64 bit system - Windows 7 home premium - Nvidia GTX 750 Ti - screen resolution @ 1920 x 1080 x 32
Service pack 1 - FSX Acel Gold - all sliders set at 50% or less - default landscape - handful of repaints - Running as administrator - have waited for the shaders to install, nothing shows up.

Have no issues with the
F100 Super Sabre

Hate to pile on , now that I've deleted the F15E file ,when I end a free flight the sim won't let back to the screen to pick a different a/c to fly.
I have to retreat to the task master to get back on track .... very confusing !

Something corrupted your install. Also once you install, make sure you add this file which will solve your exit problems.

Good news, the link you provided solved the corrupted file concern. As for getting the F15E to load, it just won't go .....
Lets call this a problem a draw, cause I've run out of enthusiasm. I do appreciate your time and effort Jonathan, you have been most helpful in the past with any issues I've had.

Cheers for now.
