Im putting the key commands and the key events here for those who want to map things to their controls

Radar Cursor range inc: Shift + E KEY_CONCORDE_NOSE_VISOR_FULL_EXT
Radar Cursor range inc: Shift + S KEY_DEC_CONCORDE_NOSE_VISOR
Radar Cursor range inc: Shift + F KEY_INC_CONCORDE_NOSE_VISOR

Radar elevation dec: Shift + X G1000_MFD_CLEAR_BUTTON
Radar elevation inc: Shift + W G1000_MFD_CURSOR_BUTTON
(slew the vertical scanned area up and down)

Lock Target: Alt + Space G1000_MFD_ENTER_BUTTON

There were some issues with the radar that some of you may have run into and these have been fixed in the patch.

Laser Arm: Toggle Water Rudder

2 more events....

Chaff: Cowl flaps (close incrementally)

Thanks! Do you know if the CH PT mini-joystick can be programmed as a sensor clew cursor?

I use the CH Fighterstick and programmed one of the four position buttons to slew the radar cursor and it works.

I'm not familiar with the one you are using but I would suspect it would work out the same way.

Cheers,

Ken

Rog, I also have the Fighterstick. The CH Pro Throttle has a mini-joystick for the left thumb. Essential to fly DCS A-10C, which you should definitely check out as an USAF guy!

Yep, I have one of those also, but no longer use it. Frankly, I cannot recall what you can use it for. I vaguely remember there is a CH utility you can use to assign a function to it.

Ken,
The utility you refer to was "Speedkeys". The program does not work with USB controllers so CH even took it down because their customers were raising lots of questions why it didn't work.
I also have the CH Pro Throttle and that thumb thingy is useless as far as I'm concerned. I would like to map it to act as a cursor control but can't seem to find a way.

Hey, I cannot for the life of me get the target lock on keys to work. I mapped the G1000 MFD Enter and Fplan keys in FSX but when I select the target with the cursor (with the radar on), and I get an altitude reading under the target blip, pressing either the G1000 Enter of Fplan keys does nothing. Any suggestions?

Alan,

Sorry to mislead you. The radar is having a known problem with the lock command. The good news is that Jon has fixed that bug that unfortunately got in the code somehow at the very end. It worked in the beta's, but sometimes code can get cranky that way!

Sorry for the issues on that one, but when the SP comes out it should be working just fine for you.

Cheers,

Ken

Did you still need this? I have my CH Pro Throttle minijoy controlling the cursor just fine in the VRS F-18E. I followed the destructions here - it should work just fine in the F-15 as well.

http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/t ... ost3124081

Scrolll down about 4/5 of the page and follow the instructions that starts with "Here's a question that gets asked a time or two: How do I get my mini-joystick to press buttons in [ insert sim name that does not support DX axes for a TDC ]?"

I have input these commands for the radar cursor. Shift+C, Shift+E and Shift+S move the cursor down, up and left. Shift+F increases the range. What command moves the cursor right?

Radar Cursor range dec: Shift + C KEY_CONCORDE_NOSE_VISOR_FULL_RET
Radar Cursor range inc: Shift + E KEY_CONCORDE_NOSE_VISOR_FULL_EXT
Radar Cursor range inc: Shift + S KEY_DEC_CONCORDE_NOSE_VISOR
Radar Cursor range inc: Shift + F KEY_INC_CONCORDE_NOSE_VISOR

Thank You,
Dagger022

Shift F is what moves it right. Its a minor bug with the long range modes and it is fixed in the patch. We are just waiting because we have been able to get AUTO bombing mode fixed and it just has a few minor tweaks and we will be ready.

Hi

I have some trouble using the radar in A/A mode, the cursor move is ok, but I can't lock target with the key command alt+space, even if i use the fsuipc command G1000 enter.

Other thing I have also the same error when I use the shift+F key command the elevation of the antenna goes up but I can't the antenna get down, when I change radar mode by pressing mfd buttons like SS,VTS,BST or TWS I lose the cursor and the behaviour when I want to push another button is not good. It's impossible to comme back on RWS mode I must turn off the radar and turn on again to reinitiate the radar.

I had proceed to a reinstall , but the problems are still there.

Excuse my bad english I hope it's a bit clearly.

However I like very much your plane , the sound are very authentic incredible.

Thanks a lot.

Fred

It shouldnt be that way in the patch beta....KC? What gauges did you give them? This was solved right after the initial release.
