K350i features list

Post by tomasm123 » Sat Sep 27, 2014 7:53 pm

Is there somewhere I can read about all the features that are included in the final release of the 350i? And if not, will it support a terrain detabase?

Oh ok, so will it include airspace and coastline depiction on the ND?

I have now verified this.

The base package of the PL-21 doesn't have any of that and ours will have none of it either.

Sorry but...

The p21 can display, geopolitical data (state borders, ocean Boundries, etc. and airspaces. Here is proof.

Go to this link and look at the mfd. Another company is building a proline 21 system and uses the basic fsx map to display this info which is as good as any.

That's a chart. A pdf. Ours can already do that

Depends on what the customer purchased with regards to what level of PL21 software. Most of the Army purchased PL21 pits I have seen do not have IFIS, while all the contractor purchased upgrades do with a functioning IFIS control panel. Both had the EGPWS/TERR/TAWS, but are not a Rockwell-Collins products.

To Krazy Colin

It is not a chart. If you press the format button two of the options are "show Geo/poli" and "show airspace" which display controlled airspace and any state and country and ocean and river boundary with your route on top until you turn them off. Extremely helpful for vfr flying which many king air pilots do on some routes. As mentioned, shouldn't be hard to add as the are part of the default fsx gps map.

Again, if you look at that map closely you will see that it's an airport chart. No more and no less. Whilst it may well be possible to add TAWS we may or may not do so.

The problem with adding a moving map is that it can add serious slowdowns to our product.

No promises

Wrong picture. Look at the one on the left in that link he posted.

To KrazyColin,

I apologize from promoting another developer, but it it is a completely different aircraft. I just wanted to show you how they added the "show political/geographical borders" and "show airspace" feature of the p21. As you can see they just took it from the Fsx default map. While this would be cool, more importantly would be a TAWS/egpws display, that shows yellow/red terrain as the aircraft gets closer. I would not want to fly into aspen without it.

Thanks for listing.

I would strongly suggest that you wait till the 850 is out and buy that.

Whilst I appreciate a screen grab of a vapor ware project as much as the next guy, till it's actually released, how can you know what it is and what it isn't?

Moving on.

Thank you.

Put it this way, your request has been heard and we ask you to please wait patiently since it may or may not be done as Colin said earlier. No promises.
