The boss said to upload a short vid of the WIP on the AB's. So without further ado, here it is. Comments fully welcome.

**Note: Only the left engine nozzle has animation, not both. Also, watch in 1080HD.

Nice. Could it be more orange/red? It´s too yellow right now (WIP, of course).

More orange and more opacity. Burning 70,000lbs/hr in AB is a carbon producing event with dense color.

When viewed from the side the flame itself is more of a reddish color IRL. see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=103zx0rO7m4
Viewed from the back it´s brighter - but with little yellow and more white-ish.

Is it possible to add the "pulse rings" in the AB?

That looks like a reengined F4 with multistage AB. Do you know what engines that has? Nice photo.

I think it has still the standard GE 17's installed. I don't know if there were made different types of the GE 17?
It's the F-4F with registration 37+01

The F-4 always has variable Afterburners, if that´s what you mean.

Looks good. I like how the flame holder disappears behind the increased range. Nice detail.
As I recall, “-17’s” were “low-smoke” conversions. Will this have smoke animation out of A/B?
And what about that familiar howl? No self-respecting F-4 would be complete without it.

Inside the jet pipes it gets literally white hot on re heat and in day light the flame is a very light blue / purple colour. At night its a sheet of white flame. Not sure if its possible to get both effects for day and night or a compromise ?

There is also a small flame going at the bottom of the jet pipe which I suspect are the igniters ? Can be seen in some of the close shots linked here.

Best shots at the end at 8.18, the pulse ring effect is noticeable but quite subtle

These are F4 & RF4 Phantoms but I believe they have the same engines as the F4E. Have a look at this little lot !

I hope we get the "crackle" sound when the burners kick in.

WIP screenies look most excellent, superb job. Looking forward to it.

Cheers. Buster.
