Re: MD530F
deepdiver, those are some seriously nice paints, excellent work. G-JIVE is looking really cool too, but do you considerer it finished? I'm just asking because I see that the shading under the blue parts is missing, G-JIVE and G-RAPD are high on my list of favorite paint schemes.

I'd like to point out that the type is mixed up at multiple paintjobs. The MD500E and the MD530F differ in many aspects. Bigger engine, multiple fuselage modifications etc. The helicopters registered G-JIVE and G-RAPD are MD500E helicopters, not MD530F!

Re: MD530F
Hey gang! about the paint reg numbers:....
I know G-JIVE and most other real paints I see out there are 500E's and also the *Magnum PI* paint is an 500D model but since this is a new helicopter model by Milviz and are very similar to the 500E's I figured why not incorporate these 500E paints onto the new 530's?,... I guess you can just tell people that they purchased a new 530 model and sold the old 500 model lol I've been looking around at a few other 530 paints but since they are a fairly new model in the real world there aren't a whole lot of schemes out there yet as far as something different when it comes to a recreation.
I have a few custom paints I'm thinking about too which will be all original for this 530 and will look awesome when they are done.
----------------------
About the paint itself?
The only thing that works right now are the specs and spec alphas. The actual paint alpha' s which would normally work with the main paint pallets can be made as a separate alpha but they are not functional at this time. I was told they will be available and functional in an up coming SP pack after the initial release. Then I will go back to each of my paints and make the Alpha's for each model and make the final upload with everything working giving you the reflective textures we normally see.
As of now, I can make alphas and anything I want but they have to be initialized in the model so FSX will know they are there and reflect them. Again as of now they are not functional like they are for the Bell 407's here:

When I do get the update then going back and creating the actual alphas will be no problem at all and will only take a little while to create for each model... those are the least of the problem right now and really are no problem at all so to speak.
This is the same reason I have not uploaded these yet for download but they will be available after the reflective textures are included in the new model\SP update coming up as I was told.
Thank You for all the comments and please bare with me on this.
Alan

I don't know if that was meant for me, but just in case: what I meant was that on the real G-JIVE there is a painted on shadow effect beneath the torn, blue strips that makes them stand out like it's 3 dimensional, looks pretty cool.deepdiver8055 wrote:About the paint itself?

Yes I know the torn paint has shadows to show 3d effect. These are not finished and therefore have not been uploaded yet either

Okay, great, I'm looking forward to flying with your paints. If I was being rude I do apologize, I'll leave this topic now.deepdiver8055 wrote:Yes I know the torn paint has shadows to show 3d effect. These are not finished and therefore have not been uploaded yet either

Re: MD530F
No no no, I wasn't directing anything to any one person... just explaining in general. I was expecting feedback on this in this way because of the different models but that's OK cause I wasn't going for a total recreation anyway on any of these. The closest thing to a recreation is the Border Patrol and the only difference there is I replaced the decal with a different decal that only says: US Border Patrol and moved it higher up AND on the fuse so that when people remove the doors then it will still be there to see.
It's no problem man and I'm not offended in any way what-so-ever. Don't worry about it. I would of probably thought about the same thing after looking at the paints lol... It's all good.
Hey the doc says I only have two sessions left and that I'll be just fine!
