Most 500/530s are used for transport and the right controls are removed to make an extra seat so three people can sit across the front on a bench seat arrangement. One other point in this debate, there is a lock on the twist grip throttle to prevent it from being moved from the idle position to the fuel off position inadvertently. I believe this lock is always placed on the left hand collective in the civilian versions, a pilot sitting in the right seat would be unable to be access this and would have great difficulty shutting the engine down.

Thanks Colin. I've flown the Hughes 500C, MD-500D, and the MD-520N and all of them have the PIC in the left seat. The military MH-6 little birds have the PIC in the right seat for standardization - the Huey, Blackhawk, and OH-58 fly from the right seat.

I added the little vents. I also switched the attitude gauge to the left side.

Then, I decided this was all too much trouble and have now cancelled the project.

I will backburner the project until I feel more... interest in it.

GAH!!!!! You just about gave us die hard MD fans a heart attack.... Well At LEAST a few extra grey hairs !!! :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock: :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

Thanks for taking these suggestions for the attitude gauge, vents, etc under advisement. This will be a TOP NOTCH product once it's released!

I'm sure it will be worth the wait!!

Is there any thought about having the ability to attach an external load (long line) to the aircraft? Maybe a 25 foot and 75 foot line with a bambi bucket?

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make the paintkit to matchup nicely with this one!. This is my favorite heli of all time so repainting this one will be very important (to me). Any chance on making the fuselage one piece and making the doors match up on the paintkit?

The 407 is fun to paint but it takes so long because everything is scattered and one of the sides are mismatched from the other and the door panels are different sizes then the openings on the paintkit. I'm not complaining, I'm just saying is all.

...and by the way, Thank you so much for the 407. It's really nice.

Just as an aside, the registration number "N62PJ" seems unlucky, since the aircraft that wore it previously likewise suffered an undignified ending, resulting in one fatality. :?
