Failures and Icing questions
Hey everyone,
Strongly considering the PC-6 - looks like a great product! I'm interested in the failure modeling, specifically the degrading engine condition. The manual mentions after ~100 hours of normal use the engine would be considered ready for maintenance, and the likelihood of failure is extremely high. As the engine degrades, will the likelihood of a random failure increase? For example, would I be more likely to see a random engine failure after 50 hours than at 2 hours?
What about failures related to the other annunciator lights? Can the generator fail? Can the oil become contaminated (chip detection)?
Another question I have is about icing; is icing visually modeled? If not, is there any detection method within the sim (besides changes in handing characteristics)?
All the best,
Matt
