Correct prop setting before start?

In the australian airforce flight manual of the Porter,date march 72, in preflight, it is recommended in section 2, NORMAL PROCEDURES, to position the prop control for Max RPM, and in the Milviz user guide it is recommended to put it into FEATHER position above 10C?
What is correct?

That manual is not for a PT-6A.

Are you sure about that? All the references I found, including directly from the ADF, show the Australians operated the PC-6B1, which was factory delivered with a PT-6A engine.

Also, where the prop handle is doesn't really matter on a PT-6 engine. As a "free turbine" type, you don't really hurt the engine or the power turbine by starting it in one position or the other. It might take longer to get to full idle with the prop in feather or min-RPM on start, but as long as you observe all the normal limitations for time and temp, then you're still fine.

You will blow the engine if you run it too high. Please use our manual for all of the controls and settings.

Many thanks for your inputs, to be precise the australian aircraft manual I found on avialogs is about the PC-6/B1-H2 with an PTA6-20 engine, 550 shp, and the Milviz the PC-6/B2-H4 with an PTA6-27 engine, around 680 shp....if my understanding is correct?
The only book I could find about the Porter is a german one from abebooks...? If anybody knows about books in english?
Looking forward to any suggestions!
