C 310 Redux V3.180330 Issues

I hope this is the proper forum to contact regarding several issues I am having with the updated version of this wonderful aircraft.

Having received the e-mail notice with the download link for this latest version, I downloaded and installed it with my antivirus program disabled--I also ran the installer as "Administrator" & Installation was successful.
I am using P3D version 3.4xx and my OS is Windows 10. I do run P3D as Administrator.

Listed are two issues I am having with version 3.180330:
--I have selected "Load Cold and Dark" via the MAMS control panel for the Redux version--when aircraft loads I am still having the same problem as the original Redux version--engines and systems are running and the fuel selectors are both in the "Off" position. I can move the fuel selector levers from the off position to main tank and then back to off position--engines quit running--just like in the original version. According to the "Change Log" in the received e-mail, the "Cold and Dark/Ready to Fly options" were fixed. Not sure why I am still experiencing this initial problem. I do run the MAMS as Administrator as well.

--The EDM 700 Digital Engine Temp. Gauges--both of the gauges show the seven illuminated vertical columns with the "red" bar at the top of each column. The engine cyl. #s at the top portion of both gauges are showing--the problem is there is no digital numerical readout while engines are running. All the "bar graphs" representing each engine are at the same level--midway up the gauge with the red portion on top of the columns. Both the left and right buttons at the bottom of each gauge do not work (no click spot) and they are white in appearance. Basically, both gauges are not functioning as they were in the original version of the Redux C 310 that I had installed.

Any help to resolve these two issues would be greatly appreciated. If i must submit my order # having purchased the Redux version from Milviz, in order to have access to a specific support forum for the C 310 Redux, please let me know to whom I send that information to.

Raime, I suggest that you uninstall completely then re-install using the FSX option, but click on the "Browse" button and point to your P3Dv3.4 folder. This will guarantee that the 32bit version of the EDM700 gauges is loaded, as well as the 32bit version of the AMSInterop.dll (which connects with the MVAMS utility.

This should solve your two issues...

If it does, then it means I have to edit the installer to ensure that the 32bit versions are being installed. Thanks!

Thanks for your quick reply. Unfortunately, the only flight sim I have on my computer is P3D 3.4xx making it the only installation option I have to select from. To make sure I was doing this properly, I checked the "User Manual" for the 310 Redux, section 1 #2 "Choose Simulation Version."

In that case, please send me an email n4gix@comcast.net so I can just send you the 32bit versions so we can get you running.

I "PM" several replies to you stating the attached items you sent me did not solve my problems. Do you have any other possible ideas to help resolve my two problems as described above in this post?

Does anyone else have any possible ideas for why I am experiencing these problems? For now I have uninstalled the updated Redux version and reinstalled the original. The EDM gauges work fine in it. If need be, I can live with the Cold\Dark bug.

I would suggest then just taking the MilvizC310.dll (it may be MilvizC310.gau) from the original C310R and using it in the Redux Edition. It is identical except for a possible extension name change. Either will work.

Also, I will be issuing a new installer later today that will fix a few other minor issues that have been pointed out over the past week, and some improved first load logic may just solve your Cold and Dark issue.

Something else--I was instructed to post this in the official support forum--had posted it in the unofficial forum at Avsim. Rather than starting a new topic, I will post this problem here. You saw it noted as well in the unofficial Milviz forum: I do not hear any door seal sound when the door seal toggle switch is placed in the up position--neither in the original or updated Redux versions. Apparently, another individual has the same problem & you had responded to his post as well.

I copied and pasted the Milviz 310.gauage from the original C310R into the latest Redux version as you instructed. Did a test flight and now both the EDM gauges work as they should! Thanks again for that helpful tip.

I still am experiencing the Cold\Dark bug with this latest updated Redux version. I have "Cold\Dark selected. It still loads with the engines running and all the systems up and running. The fuel selector pop-up still shows both fuel levers in the "Off" position. However, if I place the mouse pointer on each lever and "Left" click, the engines stop. Don't know if that will help you to determine what this problem could still be or not??

I still have no door seal sound when I toggle the door seal switch into the "up" position. I turned up the sound level but still do not hear anything like the sound in the original version of the 310R. As I noted previously, I did not have the door seal sound in the initial Redux version either.

Appreciate your help in getting these things resolved. I am enjoying the Redux version a lot as I fly it in P3D 3.4xx

Those sounds are found in the ..\MV_C310R\panel\C310R_Sounds folder. There should be 25 SNDnn.wav files present.

The sound files are loaded and played by this gauge entry in the panel.cfg file:

gauge00=MV3DSound!MV3DS, 0,0,1,1,SimObjects\\Airplanes\\MV_C310R\\panel\\C310R_Sounds#25

IIRC, you are running P3Dv3.4. Unfortunately I no longer have that version installed on any of my six computers, so have no way of testing things.

Yes, I am currently using P3D 3.4. I will take a look to see what I find as you described it. If something essential is missing, can I "copy and paste" something from the original C310R as you instructed me earlier to do?

Okay, right after my last post, I found everything present as you described--the 25 SNDnn.wav files and panel config. entry as you described.

Since I am not the only individual who has this issue--one other who mentioned the same thing on the "Unofficial" site at Avsim, is there anyone on your developer team that still has P3D v. 3.4 on their computer? If so, can that individual check this out to see if it is working on their setup?
