UH-1 and FSUPIC

Hi,
While awaiting "clearance" for the support forum I have a question. Being a fixed wing pilot (CP SEL/MEL, IR, CFI) I really enjoy flying UH-1, but when things get at slow airspeed, controls become a bit choppy. I put high sensitivity and no dead zone for collective controls (X52), I also turned off forced trim, but still have hard time to get "finesse" smooth respond. Generally speaking, would it be recommended to use any FSUPIC option for smother collective operation?
Any other tips will be appreciated.

I use FSUIPC and it does give you potentially more control over calibrating your joystick response. There is also a setting in FSUIPC4.ini:

ApplyHeloTrim=Yes/Both/No

to allow you to trim either one or both axes assigned to the collective. It's a little better than using Force Trim, but not as realistic.
But to answer your question, I don't find the low speed control to be choppy. If you do go the FSUIPC4 route, make sure that you set up a separate profile for the UH-1.

Do you use any extra setup FSUPIC options?

I'm not sure what you mean by that. Give me an example.

yeah I do all of my control functions through FSUIPC. better then the control on P3D and since I have a Logitech G940 , that software has be long unsupported. :)

I'm still not exactly sure what you are referring to. I haven't modified the response slope on any joystick axis nor have I set the joystick precision (smallest joystick movement detection) either. The Huey flies pretty nicely just by calibrating the axes in FSUIPC.

Ok lets leave it at that.
