Post by aaadodger » Mon Jan 06, 2020 10:22 pm

Hello , This is a question for king air 350i pilots or crew. How long does it take to fuel a 350i 50% from empty ? Trying to config. my GSX fueling loading time. - Thank you Alan Sims

Typically, it takes about 20 minutes to fully fuel a King Air. There is some additional time that it takes, especially when filling the mains, to allow the fuel to settle and fully stretch the rubber fuel cells that make up part of the fuel system.

Factor in the ramp crew climbing a ladder for the mains, and awkwardly climbing on the wing for the auxs.

That does. :)

Once you get good at it, it's not too hard. If you're using 2 guys with 2 hoses, it usually takes less than 15 minutes.

Yeah, it's actually not that high of a ladder. I could use a step stool, but I like having a full ladder. Wing's only 6 foot up at the fuel port. Fun part is getting on the wings of King Airs whose operators like to wax the inner wing. Makes it fun. There is one particular 350 I almost fell off the wing of because it was so slick. The pilot and I continue to tell each other every time when we almost fall off (him when polishing the plane, me when fueling it). Good story time.
