Re: P3D Crashes when Loading F-4 E Model
Please post the error report then. Version specific crashes usually occur after loading while the engine spools up, not when the sim starts loading.

Re: P3D Crashes when Loading F-4 E Model
JB,
You may have misunderstood me.
I uninstalled the P3D 3.4.18 client as per normal procedure. Then I installed the P3D 3.4.22 client.
I deleted the shaders and the P3D.cfg file,
However, prior to doing the above, I had previously installed the F-4E update under P3D 3.4.18.......which is when I found out it crashed P3D.
Do I need to re-install the F-4E update again, now that P3D v3.4.22 is installed?
Or, do you recommend something else?
Yesterday, I received the F-4J/S update.......I installed a few minutes ago with P3D v3.4.22, and it too crashed P3D immediately after the "splash" screen.

I believe I have found the issue. It slipped under the radar and is related to the AMS controls. New build coming up.

JB,
Glad you found the issue.
When do you expect a fix to this?

A new installer has been compiled and will be tested over the weekend/beginning of next week. You should get it shortly thereafter.

Re: P3D Crashes when Loading F-4 E Model
Hi,
I just installed the F-4E 1.170424E update and it immediately crashed P3D when it started to load.
Now my assumption is that this download was an UPDATE, to be installed over a previous install???
I did notice that there was a check box to Uninstall the previous install, so that was confusing.....should I have I uninstalled first????
When I clicked on the link, the download I chose was" F-4E Multi-Installer Standard Edition."
So the bottom line after the original fresh install, and two update install, I am pretty frustrated and I still don't not have a working aircraft.

Re: P3D Crashes when Loading F-4 E Model
I believe you should choose the 'uninstall' option from the previous version's install menu after backing up your custom liveries.
NB:This is not a hotfix patch. It is a complete installer.

Re: P3D Crashes when Loading F-4 E Model
I did what you said and it installed and ran successfully.
However, in the instructions, it said it was an update, which usually means to me to install on top of an existing installation.
I would suggest in the future you describe what the install process should be:
Scenario #1
Install update on top of existing installation.
--or--
Scenario # 2
Uninstall the existing installation, and then install the latest version using a new full installer.
Unfortunately, many developers, including Milviz, never really clarify so it opens up the process to misinterpretation.

Bill Clark
